Return To ShopManchester United is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Founded in 1878, the club has a storied history, winning 20 English league titles, three European Cups, and 12 FA Cups. Their home stadium, Old Trafford, seats over 74,000 spectators and is one of England’s largest football stadiums. Manchester United’s traditional home kit is predominantly red with white shorts and black socks, while the away kit is usually white. Before the name change to Manchester United in 1902, the predecessor club, Newton Heath, wore a white shirt with a slim sash and a green/golden kit. There was also a brief exception in the 1920s when the team wore a white shirt with a red chevron, similar to the kit worn in the 1909 FA Cup final against Bristol City.
