1. Shipping at a glance
We ship retro and retro football kits worldwide. Every parcel is sent with a tracked service, every customer gets a tracking link, and we work with carriers we trust to get your kit to you in good shape.
The quick version:
- Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address — no flat fees, no surprises
- Processing takes 2–4 business days
- UK delivery typically 8–12 days
- Europe typically 8–15 days
- USA typically 10–15 days
- Asia typically 15 days
- Africa typically 15+ days
- Express (FedEx / DHL) maximum 5 days worldwide
- Shipping time is counted from the day we send your tracking number
2. Processing time
Most orders ship within 2–4 business days of being placed. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
If your order includes a customised kit (player name, number, or era patch), please allow an additional 2–3 business days for the printing and pressing before the kit ships. Customisation is a permanent process done by hand, so we don’t rush it.
You’ll receive an email confirmation when your order ships, along with a tracking link. Delivery time is counted from the day we send you the tracking number — not from the day you placed the order.
3. Express shipping
For faster delivery, we offer express shipping via FedEx or DHL.
Express orders arrive within a maximum of 5 business days to most destinations worldwide. The express option appears at checkout if your address is eligible.
4. Where we ship
We ship to over 120 countries. If your country appears in the address dropdown at checkout, we deliver there.
If you can’t see your country listed, message us at info@theretrokit.com with the destination and we’ll tell you whether we can ship there. Some destinations are excluded due to carrier restrictions or extreme delivery costs — rare but it happens.
5. Shipping costs
Shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address and the weight of your order. You’ll see the exact amount before you pay — nothing hidden, nothing added later.
We’ve kept our base prices as low as we can instead of bundling shipping into them — the trade-off is that you pay the genuine cost to send the parcel, calculated at checkout, with no surprises either way.
6. UK delivery
UK orders ship tracked and typically arrive within 8–12 days from the date we send the tracking number.
If you’re not in to receive your kit, the carrier will leave a card — the parcel is usually held at your local sorting office for collection or redelivery.
7. International delivery
International orders ship via tracked services. Delivery times depend on your destination:
- Europe: 8–15 days
- USA: 10–15 days
- Asia: 15 days
- Africa: 15+ days
- Rest of the world: 15+ days
All times are counted from the day we send your tracking number. These times are typical, not guaranteed. International deliveries can be slowed by customs clearance, public holidays, weather, or carrier backlogs — especially around peak periods like the football season opening, World Cup years, and Christmas.
8. Tracking your parcel
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number and a direct tracking link as soon as your kit leaves us. You can also look up your order any time at theretrokit.com/track-order using your order number and billing email.
Every tracking page on our site includes a one-click link to 17track.net — an independent tracking aggregator that works with carriers worldwide. If your local carrier’s site is hard to read or in a language you don’t speak, 17track usually shows the same information in a clearer format.
It can take 24–48 hours for the carrier to scan a parcel and start showing live updates after it leaves us, especially during busy periods. If nothing has moved after 48 hours, contact us and we’ll chase the carrier.
9. Customs and import duties
For international destinations, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or handling fees imposed by your country’s customs authority. These are the customer’s responsibility and are not collected by us at checkout.
UK and EU buyers usually don’t pay anything additional. Some other countries do — the amount varies by destination and the value of your order. If you’re unsure, your country’s customs website is the most reliable source.
If a parcel is held by customs, we’ll do our best to help, but we have no influence over customs decisions or processing times. If you refuse to pay duties and the parcel is returned to us, we can issue a refund minus the cost of return shipping and any handling fees we incur.
10. Lost or delayed packages
If your tracking shows no movement for an unusually long time, or if the carrier has marked your parcel as undeliverable or lost, please email info@theretrokit.com with your order number and we’ll investigate.
For UK shipments, we generally consider a parcel missing after 15 business days from dispatch. For international shipments, we’ll usually wait 30 business days before opening a formal investigation with the carrier — after that point, most parcels are presumed lost.
If a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, we’ll either:
- Send a replacement kit, if the same kit is still in stock
- Issue a full refund, including original shipping costs
- Offer store credit for the full amount, valid against any future order
The choice is yours. We don’t ask the customer to absorb the loss for a parcel we sent.
11. Wrong, missing, or damaged items
If your kit arrives damaged, you received the wrong item, or something is missing from your order, please email us within 14 days with photos and your order number.
We’ll work through it with you and offer a replacement, refund, or partial credit depending on what you’d prefer. We cover return postage in any of these cases — you shouldn’t be out of pocket because we made a mistake.
